Jack Chen is a Queens-based designer and typographer working in branding and identity, music, and media. His work moves between responses to human joy and suffering, dealing with topics such as human displacement and workers’ rights. He reflects on how his position as a first-generation Chinese immigrant informed his work, and aims to utilize design and personal experience to visualize emotion and promote social justice.
Jack graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2023, receiving a BFA in Visual Art and Technology with a concentration in Design and a minor in Computer Science.
He is currently a graphic designer at HYPEBEAST and a graphic designer for Sable Valley Records.
Jack loves NASCAR, contemporary art, vintage clothing, gaming, and cats.
